What a package usually includes

  • Party host: included at 41 of 43 venues (95%).
  • Private party room: 33 of 42 venues (79%).
  • Bring your own cake: allowed at all 25 venues that mention it.
  • Outside food: allowed at 18 of 30 venues; the rest require you to order food from them.
  • Length: most parties run 2 hours; the shortest is 1 hr 15 min and the longest 3 hours.
  • Guests: where a cap is published, the median is 30 guests.

How to estimate your real total

The advertised price is a starting point. Before you compare two venues, put each one through the same four questions:

  1. How many kids does the package cover? Extra children are often charged per head, so a cheap package can cost more than a pricier one once you add your guest list.
  2. Are adults charged? Some venues charge admission for adults, others let them in free.
  3. What about food and cake? If outside food isn't allowed, add the venue's pizza or snack packages.
  4. Tax, deposit and weekend pricing. Prices here are before tax, some venues take a non-refundable deposit, and some charge more for weekend slots.

Our comparison table on the Houston party venues list lets you sort every venue by starting price, length and guest limit side by side.
